Vanguard’s Robert Miller departs for Kepler Cheuvreux

The role will see Miller join the execution leadership team, focused on market structure and liquidity solutions.

Robert Miller has left Vanguard after five and a half years to join Kepler Cheuvreux’s (KCx) execution leadership team as head of market structure and liquidity solutions.

He was previously head of international trading analytics and strategy at Vanguard, having joined in 2019.

Miller replaces Byron Griffin in the role following his departure in May for ODDO BHF as head of execution sales and microstructure. Byron Griffin had been with Kepler for eight and a half years, assuming the role of head of market structure and liquidity solutions in 2022.

His new role will see Robert take charge of the firm’s market structure content and “provide key regulatory insights to assist clients in navigating the complexities of the equities trading ecosystem”.

KCx has continually shared that its current strategy is to expand its execution footprint and expertise on a global scale.

Miller is joining a team which operates across Europe and the US, with key teams based in: Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Milan, New York, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, and Zurich.

He has previously served as an equity algo trade specialist at Berenberg, multi-asset trader and quantitative analyst at Edmond de Rothschild, and assistant portfolio manager at ARIA capital management.

Before that also worked as an investment fund specialist at Aviva Investors and as a stockbroker at Redmayne Bentley.
