Societe Generale has appointed Alexandre Fleury as its new head of equities and equity derivatives.
Fleury will take up the new role on 1 June and be based in Paris, reporting to Societe Generale’s head of global markets, Frank Drouet.
Previously, Fleury was global head of equities structured products and structured financing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, having held prior roles with Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse, as well as a decade-long stint with Societe Generale before leaving the French bank in 2009.
“Alexandre Fleury‘s international experience and solid understanding of financial markets, and of derivatives products in particular, are key assets to pursue the development of our equities and equity derivatives activities,” said Drouet.
“This appointment will allow the bank to strengthen its edge as a global leader in derivatives, an area in which Societe Generale has offered innovative solutions to its clients for more than 30 years.”
