RBC BlueBay Asset Management equity trader, Michael Tamou, has left the asset manager to join Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), The TRADE can reveal.

Tamou joins the quantitative and systematic investment manager as a quantitative trader after most recently serving as an equity trader at RBC BlueBay for nearly three years, according to an update on his social media.
He originally joined the asset manager as an investment operations analyst in 2020. Previously in his career, he spent a year as an operation analyst at Liquidnet.
Tamou was recognised as one of The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution at Leaders in Trading 2023 alongside other individuals from across the buy-side.
“I am delighted and honoured to be presented with this award,” said Tamou on receipt of the recognition last year. “It is a great feeling to be recognised by my peers across the industry.”
