People Moves Round Up: Acadian AM, Unifi AM and Stifel

The past week saw appointments across the trading space in Sydney, New York and London. 

Acadian Asset Management appointed Jian Du vice president, senior trader in its Sydney office. Du joined the asset manager from Goldman Sachs, where he most recently served as executive director of electronic trading, also based in Sydney. Prior to that, he held the position of executive director, Asia Pacific quant execution coverage at Goldman Sachs, based in Hong Kong. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Du spent nearly seven years at Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he served as a trader across both London and Sydney. Elsewhere in his tenure at Dimensional, he served as an analyst.

Unifi Asset Management expanded its team with the addition of two New-York based traders. Sean Koh was appointed senior trader, joining from GIC where he spent the last 13 years. While at GIC, Koh held several senior fixed income trading positions, most recently serving as senior vice president. Koh also previously held a global macro strategist position at GIC, based in Singapore.

Elsewhere, Unifi appointed Kaveen Bandara as a trader, also set to work out of New York. He joined the asset manager from JP Morgan where he spent nearly two years as a credit derivatives strategist. Earlier in his career, Bandara served as a quantitative strategist and software engineer at Goldman Sachs.

Stifel Europe appointed Freddie Dolcezza as a new equity trader, based in London. Dolcezza joined Stifel from Hargreaves Lansdown where he spent the last seven years, most recently serving as a market dealer – a position he held for three and a half years. Prior to that, Dolcezza served as an equity dealer for nearly two years. Elsewhere in his tenure at Hargreaves Lansdown, he served as an investment helpdesk consultant and a client support agent.
