Optiver becomes latest trading member on the Vienna Stock Exchange

The firm joins a list of 65 members who are currently admitted to trading on the exchange.

The Vienna Stock Exchange has included electronic market maker Optiver as a new trading member on its platform.

65 members, including 23 Austrian and 42 international banks and securities firms, are currently admitted to trading on the Vienna Stock Exchange.

“With over 35 years of experience as a global market maker with a strong track record in equities, exchange-traded funds and listed derivatives, we are pleased to become a member of the Vienna Stock Exchange”, said Andrew Meyer, head of cash equity and exchange traded fund (ETF) trading at Optiver.

The development is Optiver’s third collaboration with an exchange this year, after it joined the Aquis Exchange as a member and to provide liquidity in pan-European shares on the platform.

Elsewhere, Optiver confirmed plans in January to launch block trading on Nasdaq E-mini options in a bid to help institutional investors manage risk in volatile markets.
