Appointment brings more than a decade of equities sales trading experience to his new position, and also served at Numis Securities earlier in his career.  

New hire steps into the role following the departure of his predecessor in January 2025.  

New York-based hire also previously spent 15 years at Bank of America.  

The new hire joins the UK investment bank after a two-year stint at Rothschild & Co Redburn.  

The bank has made a senior appointment to lead its FM rates and nonlinear trading platform as it looks to build on its global capabilities across markets, technology and quantitative functions. 

This past week saw several significant moves across the sell-side, outsourced trading, and trading venues. 

Appointment follows a return to the firm after a spell at BestX, where the executive led strategy and growth across the business. 

The new hire – previously named one of The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution – will focus on enhancing the firm’s regional presence, The TRADE understands.

Individual was formerly global head of liquidity, financing and collateral; appointment is part of wider executive shake-up to support growth across markets and wealth solutions.

This past week saw a flurry of moves across the industry, including a global head of electronic trading, head of electronic fixed income, and a senior credit desk hire.
