Clearnet will no longer be a part of the LCH branding after the clearing house decided to drop the name in a brand refresh.
The rebrand, which came into effect on Monday, comes 13 years after the London Clearing House and Clearnet merged.
A spokesperson confirmed it was the result of “an extensive consultation project over the past few months”.
“It aims to be a simple, confident brand name that embodies the important and far-reaching changes affecting the world of clearing and market infrastructure,” the spokesperson added.
The brand refresh includes a new logo, name and slogan in the form of The Markets’ partner.
LCH.Clearnet was taken over by the London Stock Exchange in 2012, and is now at the centre of a potential megadeal with Deutsche Borse, which would see the combination of two of Europe’s biggest clearing houses.
