The former chief technology officer at Jupiter Asset Management has joined IHS Markit’s thinkFolio team as its chief operating officer.
Tom Cunningham will lead product management, services and support of the portfolio modelling and order management system business for the buy-side.
He will report into Sprios Giannaros, who recently took over responsibility for the service as global head of thinkFolio and enterprise data management at IHS Markit.
Giannaros commented: “Cunningham joins us at an exciting time when we are expanding our presence across regions and investing heavily in the next generation architecture of thinkFolio, as well as adding the solution to our managed service offering.”
Cunningham has extensive experience working on the buy-side, having been with Jupiter Asset Management - a client of IHS Markit’s thinkFolio service - for more than three years.
He also worked at Columbia Threadneedle Investments between 2006 and 2013 as head of front office technology.
