JP Morgan has rejigged the leadership of its Equities Technology Strategy Council after the promotion of the man credited with developing its futures and options e-trading suite.
An internal memo seen by The Trade shows Rick Seidenstein, who was global head of Equities Technology, has been promoted to global head of CIB Production and Control Technology.
Guy Halamish has had his previous role expanded to become global lead of the Equities Technology Strategy Council.
Halamish will now work with Bob Stolte, head of Equities Technology, to supervise all global technology investments.
The memo stated: “Guy and Bob will build on the tremendous contributions made by Rick Seidenstein and his team.
“Over the last five years, they have successfully developed a world class electronic trading suites across cash futures and options, renewed our risk technology environment and supported our demanding regulatory, control and production needs.”
Seidenstein has been with the bank since December 2010, having joined from Citi where he was global head of Equities Sales and Technology.
He was also previously EMEA head of Equities at Lehman Brothers in the years leading up to the financial crisis.
Guy Halamish has been with JP Morgan for more than 12 years and is a managing director at the bank.
