Brokerage group ITG has recruited two new members to its Asia Pacific electronic trading team.
Rob Darling and Stephen Farrell join the business in Hong Kong as part of ITG’s project to strengthen its regional expertise.
Darling was previously at Standard Chartered where he worked as director cash equity sales trading.
Farrell has worked at CIMB Securities, Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN Amro and has almost a decade of experience in electronic sales trading.
In a statement to the media, Michael Corcoran, joint chief executive officer of ITG in Asia Pacific, said: “The hire of Darling and Farrell underscores our focus on quality and client service.
“We believe that in today’s world of electronic trading, effective coverage requires experienced traders with a diverse skill set and local market knowledge.”
Corcoran added: “With a global focus on excellence in algorithms and electronic trading under our CEO Frank Troise, we continue to invest in our products and people.”
