ICAP’s EBS BrokerTec announced the appointment of Jim Iorio, a former Barclays director, to head up its global sales and join its executive management committee.
Iorio was global head of currency and commodities at Barclays for over 7 years, before leaving the firm in March this year.
He was also a managing director at Lehman Brothers before departing in 2008, and has held a variety of senior roles across fixed income.
Iorio will be based in New York and will report to chief executive officer at EBS BrokerTec, Gil Mandelzis.
Mandelzis explained EBS BrokerTec has expanded its client base into new segments including corporates, asset managers and regional banks around the world.
He added: “Now that many of these development initiatives are client ready, we are shifting gears to grow our reach, and sales and distribution of these products.”
