Edmond de Rothschild AM names new head of distribution for DACH region

New appointment has been promoted to the role having originally joined the asset manager in 2021 as co-head of sales Germany and Austria.

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has appointed Regine Wiedmann as head of distribution for the DACH region.

Wiedmann has held the role of head of distribution for Germany and Austria since January 2022, and will now assume responsibility for Switzerland also with immediate effect.

As part of the new role, Wiedmann will drive forward sales activities for institutional clients and distributors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

She will report directly to Marie Jacot, global head of distribution at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, and will be based between Frankfurt and Geneva.

“Regine’s appointment as head of distribution for the DACH region is a recognition of her outstanding contribution to the business over the past three years,” said Jacot.

“Her sales strategies, specifically tailored to the regional markets, will continue to drive and grow our business in Germany, Austria and now Switzerland, helping our sales teams to continue to be relevant and bring best in class investment strategies to the DACH region’s investors.”

Wiedmann brings more than 18 years of experience in asset management and sales in the German-speaking markets.

She initially joined Edmond de Rothschild AM in June 2021 as co-head of sales Germany and Austria, later being promoted to head of sales Germany and Austria in January 2022.

Before joining Edmond de Rothschild, Wiedmann served as an executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, responsible for wholesale clients in Germany. Before that, she co-founded Vicenda Asset Management in Zug, Switzerland.

Elsewhere, Wiedmann was head of marketing and key account manager at the investment boutique Tiberius Asset Management, also based in Zug, Switzerland.
