Eccles re-joins Federated Hermes from Fidelity

The return comes two years after Dominic Eccles initially departed, as revealed by The TRADE at the time.

Dominic Eccles is set to return to Federated Hermes two years after departing from the firm for Fidelity International.

Whilst at Fidelity International, Eccles worked as an equity trader, based in London.

In his new role, effective 24 March, he will work on the London desk which trades: equities, fixed income, credit, FX, MM, derivatives, commodities and treasuries.

He will report to Dan Nicholls, group head of trading at Federated Hermes.

Speaking about Eccles’ return, Nicholls said: “We are pleased to announce that Dom is joining Federated Hermes. He brings with him over 15 years of experience which will further strengthen our trading desk. We are delighted to welcome him back to the team.”

Eccles had previously spent two and a half years at Federated as a multi-asset trader before joining Fidelity International in November 2022 as an equities trader.

He has previously also served at Woodford Investment Management, as an equity trader, and also worked at BP Investment Management and L&G Investment Management – both in investment operations roles.

The TRADE recognised Eccles as a Rising Star of Trading and Execution at Leaders in Trading back in 2021. A stellar year for Federated Hermes wherein the firm also won the coveted Trading Desk of the Year buy-side award.
