Citi has expanded the responsibilities of its APAC head of OTC clearing to include Europe, in the latest appointment to its global derivatives team.
TJ Treadwell will assume the extended remit of OTC product head in EMEA, and will be relocating from Singapore to London, according to an internal memo seen by The TRADE.
“In the context of the quickly evolving regulatory landscape in EMEA (Brexit, MIFID II, EMIR), TJ will lead the OTC product agenda in the region,” the memo said.
In his expanded role, he will work closely with its origination, client executive and product teams, and will partner with the operations and technology units to help drive results across both regions.
“He will also help shape the OTC clearing product agenda with the various EMEA and APAC CCPs,” the memo added.
Treadwell will report to Sabrina Wilson, who was appointed Citi’s head of futures, clearing and collateral management (FCC) and global head of electronic trading for listed derivatives from Deutsche Bank last year.
Citi also hired Jason Massey from Morgan Stanley in September as head of clearing sales for Europe.
