In its latest senior hire, Citi has appointed Fabio Lisanti as its new head of European markets, excluding the UK.
Lisanti was previously the head of western markets for the bank, a position he has held for the past five years. Prior to that, he spent 21 years as managing director, global head of debt capital markets and client solutions at UBS. He was also a member of the board of the International Capital Markets Association for six years, ending his tenure in 2021.
Lisanti will initially be based in London, but is relocating to Paris in the coming months. He will be responsible for driving forward Citi’s European client and people strategy.
“Fabio will be a key partner to the country and ICG leadership teams, as well as to the Markets Senior Managers. Additionally, he will support senior external interfaces with Regulators as they relate to our European Markets strategy,” said Amit Raja, head of EMEA markets, and Kristine Braden, head of the European cluster, in an email announcing the new appointment, seen by The TRADE.
Lisanti will report to Raja and Braden, and to Cedric Pauwels for his FISS (Financial Institutions Sales and Solutions) responsibilities.
