His experience spans over two decades, working at firms including ITG Virtu, Pi-Finance, and Stifel in roles related to electronic algo trading, business development, and market structure.
“We are thrilled to have [Axelrod] join our team as we continue to build our international fixed income and equity offering,” said Gould.
BNY launched a new EU trading desk in Dublin, Ireland last October, seeking to expand its execution across Europe and deliver integrated execution services to its clients.
Through the move, BNY aimed to facilitate more efficient trading for EU-based clients across both fixed income and equity markets globally.
“Further to the launch of our EU trading desk in Dublin in October 2024, this strategic hire reaffirms our ongoing commitment to invest and scale our Global Markets Trading business,” added Gould.
