Bloomberg terminals have been down worldwide this morning, sparking a wave of Twitter activity from frustrated traders throughout the City.
Most of the Twitter frenzy saw traders express faux panic, however others have vented irritation at been left in the dark as the £16,000 a year terminals are crucial to their roles.
As a result of the influx of widespread Twitter outrage/ jokes, ‘Bloomberg’ has been trending on the social media website.
Some traders have told theTRADEnews.com they have been able to use a Thomson Reuters alternative.
A Bloomberg spokesperson said: "We are currently restoring service to those customers who were affected by today's network issue and are investigating the cause."

Reports began coming in just after 10.00am that the systems were beginning to come back online again.
