Bloomberg Tradebook, a global agency broker and technology supplier, has partnered with seven independent research providers (IRPs) to help give clients access to new investment ideas.
Bloomberg Tradebook's new IRPs comprise: Capital Markets Research; IPO Financial Network; Roubini Global Economics; Sales Pulse Research; Turning Point Analytics; Two Rivers Analytics and Veritas Investment Research.
The new additions join existing IRPs Arete Research, Riedel Research Group and Thompson Research Group.
“We chose these independent research providers after a deep, rigorous and analytical process,” said Bloomberg Tradebook's CEO and president, Raymond Tierney. “Our execution expertise combined with investment ideas from leading IRPs and Bloomberg’s unmatched data and news gives clients valuable tools to seek maximum alpha.”
“Bloomberg Tradebook has a distinguished history as an innovator in merging insight with its clients’ workflow and Roubini Global Economics gives its clients a view into the economic dynamics that affect investment decision-making,” added Dean Daniels, CEO, Roubini Global Economics.
In addition to the new IRPs, the agency broker has also unveiled new functionality to give clients direct access to analysts, full transparency on specific details relating to research payments and the ability to pay via commission sharing arrangements or bundled commissions, and access to the expertise of a specialised consultant who can act as a single point of contact.
In February 2011, rival agency broker Instinet expanded Instinet Access, its programme that is designed to increase sales and account coverage for independent companies that supply research to the broker's institutional client base, with the addition of Favus Institutional Research, an healthcare research provider.
Favus is the seventh independent research provider to join Instinet Access, which launched in 2004.
