BlackRock fixed income trader departs for Taula Capital Management

Departing trader had been with BlackRock for almost 15 years.

A fixed income trader from BlackRock has left the asset manager for a new role at Taula Capital Management, The TRADE can reveal.

Rahul Mapara has left BlackRock after almost 15 years to join Taula as a macro trader, according to an update on his social media.

Mapara joined BlackRock back in 2010 havingpreviously served at AllianceBernstein in a trade floor support role for nearly three years.

BlackRock recently reshuffled its trading desk leadership team, appointing Nick Craze as head of the EMEA equity trading desk following the promotion of Paul Battams to head of international equity trading, as revealed by The TRADE in March.

Craze has been on the desk for more than 15 years and prior to this promotion oversaw the ‘model and derivatives group’ on the BlackRock EMEA equity desk since 2016.
