SIX Swiss Exchange has announced the extension of its technology contract with NASDAQ across its markets.
The exchange also announced its recently launched equities dark pool – SwissAtMid – will be powered by NASDAQ’s trading and surveillance technology.
The exchange has extended X-stream INET trading technology across equities, ETFs, structured products, fixed income markets, as well as NASDAQ’s SMARTS surveillance and pre-trade risk management tools.
The extension marks 10 years of partnership between the two companies.
Christopher Landis, division CEO at SIX Swiss Exchange, said the exchange’s clients benefit from the “multifunctional and high-performance trading platform as well as from the surveillance and control instruments.”
Lars Ottersgård, head of market technology at NASDAQ, described SIX as one of the leading exchanges that “consistently strives to bolster reliability, latency and capacity performance across their markets.”
