Citi has appointed Jaya Dutt as its new head of markets of Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA), based in London.
A longstanding Citi stalwart, Dutt first joined in 2003 and has held increasingly senior roles across markets in both EMEA and Asia Pacific.
She joined Citi as an assistant manager in Mumbai, India, working up the ranks to vice president before moving to Hong Kong as a director of foreign exchange and local markets in 2011 and moving into strategic risk solutions in 2016. Prior to her latest appointment she served as global head of risk management solutions for corporate sales and solutions.

According to an internal memo seen by The TRADE, Dutt takes over the role from Richard Aby, who assumed the role of head of LatAm Markets late last year.
“Jaya will continue to drive a fully integrated business strategy, monetising our local market network and strengthening connectivity both within CEEMEA Markets, and with our ICG and Risk and Control partners,” said Amit Raja, head of EMEA markets and Ebru Pakcan, head of Middle East and Africa cluster, who issued the internal announcement.
“She will provide oversight to our local activities in partnership with global product heads, local leadership teams, and leverage our global footprint and comprehensive product offering, supported by a strong risk-management discipline.
