The former head of fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC) sales and relationship management for Europe and Asia at Citadel Securities has taken on a new role with data and analytics provider IHS Markit.
Brian Oliver has joined IHS Markit as managing director of global sales and account management from Citadel Securities where he previously held the senior sales role from late 2015 until his departure in December 2019.
He played a key role in developing Citadel Securities’ European FICC business, having built out the firm’s swaps and treasuries franchise across the region during his tenure.
At IHS Markit, Oliver will be responsible for leading business development and growth strategy across the business globally.
Previously in his career, Oliver worked at JP Morgan for more than five years as EMEA head of derivatives clearing and collateral management sales. Prior to that, he served at US derivatives exchange CME in business development and OTC new business initiatives.
Oliver’s appointment is the latest senior hire made by IHS Markit recently. In September, a 20-year BlackRock veteran that was instrumental in developing the asset manager’s flagship Aladdin platform, departed to join the firm in a lead operations role.
Zion Hilelly was appointed managing director, head of operations, client support, and services and transformation for IHS Markit’s financial service solutions division, in a newly-created role.
