Bloomberg’s execution management system, EMSX, is a multi-asset, broker-neutral trading tool that allows users to route to nearly 2,000 broker-dealer destinations, including over 50 algorithmic suites.
EMSX integrates news, indications and real-time market and portfolio analytics into a customised workspace so users can monitor execution quality and improve trading decisions and performance.
The system supports global equities, futures and options, and integrates seamlessly with Bloomberg’s OMS, AIM, in addition to any FIX-compliant third-party or proprietary OMS platform.
It is available to all users of the Bloomberg Professional news, data and trade execution service at no additional cost.

Asia-specific features

Bloomberg EMSX maintains a global, multi-language, 24-hour trade support desk with two desks located in the Asia-Pacific region. EMSX, the BTCA transaction cost analysis (TCA) tool, and Bloomberg Professional service offer multi-language support.

Connectivity and access

Bloomberg’s global FIX network connects to 2,000 broker-dealer destinations with over 400 destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. The firm connects to broker sales desks, broker algorithms, broker direct market access offerings, smart order routers, and a number of active dark pools.

Transaction cost analysis

BTCA, Bloomberg’s customisable pre- and post-trade TCA tool for equities, is fully integrated into the Bloomberg Professional service. It allows users to harness Bloomberg’s trade and pricing data and access the firm’s range of analytical tools.
