Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) has announced its current head of markets has been appointed as chief executive officer of the Stock Exchange Market of Hong Kong (SEHK) and the Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE).
Lee Kwok Keung Roger, head of markets at HKEx, is to replace Romnesh Lamba as the chief executive officer of both exchanges owned by HKEx.
Roger was promoted to head of markets in January this year and has been responsible for the cash and derivatives trading, market data and market surveillance functions.
Lamba is to remain as a director of both SEHK and HKFE.
Roger’s appointment is subject to approval from the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
