Hermes bolsters client relationship team with new hires

Hermes expands sales and client relationship team after a ‘successful’ 2016.

Hermes Investment Management has expanded its sales and client relationship team with several new hires.

The former senior sales director at Twelve Capital, Antoinette Eltz, has joined Hermes as a director and reports to Gareth Davies, head of client relationship management at Hermes.

Eltz has held similar positions at Pimco, Citi Capital Advisors and Allianz Global Investors.

Thomas Shuttlewood has also joined Hermes as client service manager, tasked with ensuring the £30.8 billion manager delivers good client service to Hermes’ segregated and pooled fund clients.

Prior to joining Hermes, Shuttlewood worked at Fidelity Worldwide Investment for three years as a client service manager. He also spent eight years in a client relationship role at Legal and General Investment Management.

Harriet Steel, global head of business development at Hermes, explained the firm has seen a transformation over the past five years and 2016 was a particularly successful year for the business.

“Sustained demand has enabled us to recruit high-calibre professionals to join the firm and add value to our clients and the business.

“We will continue to add resource across the firm as we have set ourselves the ambitious but achievable target of doubling assets and revenues in the next five years,” she said.

Dan Churchouse, a former business development manager at Kames Capital has also joined Hermes as an associate director, responsible for raising third party assets.
